The video doesn't show the spinning coins very well but the video is worth watching all the way through- just know that at the end we all go nuts because we accidentally assaulted a cowboy with change... he pretended not to notice.  The pictures are of us being money pirates and not wearing makeup- pretty sweet, huh?

On November 20th, I spoke on the Austin Social Media Club panel in Austin called "Women Under 30 Who Are Kicking Ass in Social Media" with @broylesa, @dierdrewalsh, @michellegreer and @gloriakt. 

There is a great recap on Jane Kovac's blog, "I was surprised at how surprised the panel was to learn that women outnumber men in social media nearly two to one. Social is what we do, ladies. Community building, consensus building. It's why we tend to be in charge of Christmas letters and thank-you notes. And, yes, it's why we ask for directions and apologize first."

Yesterday, I told you I was going to Casino Night at the Diamond Crown Lounge in the Arboretum, and even though I didn't promise, HERE are a few pictures:

This is a historic day- Meow Meow chills like he's ridin' a low rider on dubs and all THREE cats share the dog bed (note the fat one Puff Kitty does NOT like his enemy City Kitty the orange one touching him), this was a very precarious moment and didn't last long. 

Hey Austinites, tonight is going to be radtastic!  @AgentGenius' brother is the owner of Ambassador Private Stock Cigars and Heroes & Legacies is opening their new Diamond Crown Lounge for CASINO NIGHT tonight and all proceeds go to charity.  DM me @LaniAR if you're coming!!!  And yes, you might spot me with a cigar.  We'll see...

It's supposed to be 80's beat boxer style, but I rebelled against the theme and I'm going as a punk chick.

We had a great lunch at Central Market Cafe on 38th street at Central Park in Austin.  The food ranges from tofu (not my style) to bacon cheeseburgers (more my style) and I had the most amazing Tortilla Soup I've ever had in Austin- the bowl was huuuge, it was mostly chicken (whereas most restaurants are skimpy with their meat products) and get this.... my mean was only $4.00!  Oh, and it tasted like they soaked the avocado in lime and it wasn't heavy on cilantro (the worst possible mistake in any food, a worse sin than over salting).

It was fun taking Little B who had a cheeseburger like her daddy, and we fed our fries to the birds despite the cross looks from other patrons angry that we gave fried products to pure innocent grackles.  There was a pair of birds that were like magical spotted rainbow grackles that I have yet to identify, do you know what they are???

After lunch we went to my favorite store in the entire world (I'm not exaggerating) in the same shopping center- The Paper Place.  They sell stationary, papers, gifties, journals, and custom invitations.  I could spend hours in there and Little B who was going for her first time liked it a lot too (I know where *I'm* buying stocking stuffers this year)!
